This image shows the underside of the dovetail bar.  Notice the hollowed out back of the dovetail bar.  This lightens the bar without sacrificing the strength of the system.  This image also shows the channel on the back of the Meade style dovetail bars.  This channel allows the bar to fit onto the curve of the OTA and eliminates the use of large radius blocks.  This lowers your guidescopes center of gravity and decreases the weight of the entire system.

This is a perfect solution for  mounting your guidescope to your Meade SCT OTA.  The attachment bar is made from .625" 6061 Aluminum.  It is 1.5" wide with a small channel machined in the underside for a perfect fit.   The lack of radius blocks lowers the center of gravity and lightens the system.   Attaches to OTA using existing mounting screws.
