Introducing the MDS-M16 – MDS Series Dovetail Bar for Meade 16″ SCT Telescope
The “MDS” stands for “Mini Dovetail System” and is a ADM Accessories proprietary product. This product was offered as an alternative to the heavy and expensive Losmandy “D” Series accessories. The “MDS” Series offered amateur astronomers a lightweight, fully CNC machined, hi quality alternative. ADM Accessories offers a wide range of male dovetail bars to fit many of todays most popular Schmidt Cassegrain Telescopes as well as a variety of universal sized dovetail bars. Several accessories are offered for this dovetail mounting system. “SMALLER, LIGHTER and LESS EXPENSIVE” is how it was introduced and what continues to make it popular today.
Fits all Meade 16″ OTA’s. No curved radius blocks are needed. NOTE: Due to the weight of the M16 this bar should be used for attaching accessories only. Uses existing mounting holes in OTA. 26″ long, 1.5″ wide, .625″ thick, Wt. 28 oz.
