Purchased these slow motion knobs to replace the manufacturer’s knobs on my Vixen Porta Mount ll. The original were made of plastic and had no screw to anchor them down on the rod. While they worked good, I never felt like they were substantial enough for the tripod/mount. These are solid metal and screw down with an Allen wrench. Feel really secure. Love them so far.
