Fits iOptron HAZ46 Mounts. Will not work with the HAZ31. Accepts both D Series and V Series dovetail bars. Split clamp design grips the dovetail bar along the entire surface of the saddle and will not dent or scratch the dovetail bar. Features two large locking hand knobs for tool free operation, spring loaded jaws, anodized aluminum and stainless steel construction. DUAL-HAZ46 can be mounted on the top or side position. Two saddles can be mounted simultaneously. The saddle comes standard with a hole in the center to allow you to use the bubble level when setting up the mount. The adapter was designed to allow you to use two telescopes at one time. The s7″ Long, 4″ Wide, .75″ thick, Wt. 38 oz.

Great adapter that gives me more security holding my long and heavy refractor to my HAZ46 mount than the original iOptron saddle plate gave me. The only drawbacks are that the unit no longer fits assembled in the iOptron case (which is no big deal) and that I only get a partial view of the bubble level that is present on top of the HAZ46 unit. Maybe my installation of the ADM saddle isn’t proper, but I can’t think of another way to put it on the HAZ46 that what I’ve done. To see the bubble level well (which is important to leveling the unit) I have to remove one of the saddle bolts and rotate the saddle a bit. Inconvenient, but a small price to pay for a more secure saddle.

Richard, thank you for your comments on the DUAL saddle for the HAZ46. You did nothing wrong with the installation. Unfortunately, my saddle design will not allow me to center the hole in the saddle over the bubble level on the mount. The bubble level is not located precisely along the center line of the HAZ46 mount (I am not sure why). I do not own the HAZ46 mount to be able to confirm this but i would think you could use a seperate bubble level held against some part of the mount that would be parallel to the existing bubble level. In my opinion this would make more sense since you could mount the telescope and level the tripod after. The existing iOptron method would always mean you have to level the tripod before mounting the telescope. The other argument can be made about how important leveling is. I have been a Takahashi user for a long time and users will argue whether the mount being level is important. I hope this helps and thank you for being a great customer.
